Director – Risk Management Consulting
The Risk Management Consultant, Samuel Kibaara is a Fellow of the Member of the Institute of Risk Management (UK) and a risk practitioner in East Africa. He has specialized in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
He has over 21 years’ experience in the field of Risk Management. Samuel has expansive experience in developing and implementing Risk Management Frameworks having set up and worked as the head of the Risk Management section at Kenya Power.
Prior to this he worked at Aon Risk Global Consulting firm as part of a regional team of Risk Consultants working in Africa and Middle East. He has gained in-depth experience in developing and implementing Risk Management Frameworks.
Among the clients he has worked with in Risk Management include; AIG, Barclays bank, DHL, Diageo (EABL), Zain, Airtel, Tigo Africa, Safaricom, Rift Valley Railways, Lafarge and Sony Erickson among many others. He has also participated in a number of independent consultancies within the public sector key among them being lead consultant at the Kenya Tourism Board the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) in compliance with the Treasury Circular No. 3/2009.
Other key institutions have included Media Council of Kenya, Thika Water & Sewerage Company Ltd., Kenya Development Corporation, Kenya Power Pension Fund (KPPF), Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA), Retirement Benefits Authority, Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company Ltd., and Kenya Medical Supplies Authority among others.
These consultancies and trainings have majorly focused on the Development and Implementation of Institutional Risk Management Policy framework (IRMPF) in the Public Sector. In the private sector he has also been the lead consultant in the development and implementation of the Risk Management Framework project at the Mater Hospital and Imarika Sacco.
